Got a bit cleaner looking Calander for you to look at. This covers most of the races the team and myself will be doing for the season. Some of the races fall on the same day as others, this is when we will be running two smaller teams. Or we will just pick the best race on the day. Most of the team will be choosing the races they prefer at the begining of the season, but changes will be made as the year goes on. It will not be possible for me to work at all of the races either, but I will be doing the majority of the races listed. All of the tours and all of the World Cups, and most of the Dutch one day races, think I might have my work cut out for me this year. But as long as we are winning, the work is not so hard.

Good Press
We are starting to get a great amount of interest in the local racing scene here. All the press releases for the upcoming races are starting to flood most of the Cycling news and Spots sites. It will be good to see how much interest they can stir up here for the Trust House Tour coming up in Wellington (New Zealand). We may have lost the World Cup race that followed this tour, but the organiser is making up for it with a extended tour this year. We may see some settled weather this time around, as the last few years have been a bit out of control.

The beautiful Welling Harbour, TT 05, Bianca Knopfle.
The first of the press releases are starting to turn up, so maybe we might get a few spectators lining the streets. You can read it here, and there is the same article in Cycling NZ pages here as well.

New Look
Almost got it changed, hang tight, will get all the links sorted and updated soon. Hope I have not lost too much information in the changeover. Righto more later.
New Stuff.
Things are moving along very quick this time of year, not only is the year slipping away fast (that's for those of us that are working though, not you folk still on holiday), but the race season is almost upon us. We just held the Nationals for our country, both the TT and the road race are done now, and we have a few new champions flying the new shirts (more on this later), we might see them racing around the world very soon.

The new website is up for Team Flexpoint, running now so muake sure you check it out. It's almost finished and looking pretty sweet, sorry but it's still in Dutch, but we will work on some English translations for the international audience later. But at least the pictures are looking good if you can't read anything.
You can see good things like the new look Team, and do they look fast. All resplendent in their new team uniform. A few of the gang have yet to get their pic taken, but you can get the idea. Here a couple of shots of the new uniform up close. Mirjiam is doing the modelling for us, and nice to see her back on her bike. For those of you that are new, she is recovering from a major accident that happened in the Euregio Tour, but you can read that later. So good to see her back on her bike, think that's why she is smiling so much. Just hope I can get used to the new uniforms quickly, so we can spot our girls at the front of the races when they attack.

Nice and clean looking kit, with a few new sponsors on board for the year.

And from the front, with a sneak peak of the new bikes as well.

It looks great, and so does the bike, not sure how long the bar tape will stay white with my greasy hands all over it.
You could also check out the race calendar for the new season. And from the looks of things I have my work cut out for me again this year. Had a good look through the races, and there is only about two races near the end of the list that the Team won't be racing. Everything else there we will have a good crack at it.
Coming soon, new pictures of the team cars new graphics, also the truck has had a bit of a makeover as well. But can't show you too much at once, otherwise you won't come back.

Some Changes
With the new season about to start, I thought it was about time to have a few changes around here. I had a great thought of upgrading the blog look, a new look for the season, but it has not gone too good so far, so will postpone it for later.

My attempt at changing the look of this blog is much like this image.
In the meantime, I have updated a few of the links on the right side of the page. First up the teams links have been upgraded a little, to cover all the changes in the team members. That’s all the team that have websites running, and the new site from our team, which will be finished soon. There will be a few more changes to the other sites listed as well. If you have any ideas yourself, let me know with the comments link below, or send me a email and see what I can do. Here is a good one in the mean time, this is a cool mail service that you get every week or so. It’s called Cycle-Wire, just go and subscribe, and the information sent is amazing. More great cycling stories and related websites etc, than you can ever imagine.
One of the big changes will be our name, gone is the Buitenpoort from the name, now we are just called ‘Flexpoint’. This will be a little bit easier to say, for both the team and some of the commentators during the races. There will be a change of uniforms, this will be a bit of getting used to. After two years, our team has been rather easy to spot, now we are going to loose them in the peloton for the first few races, but it won’t take long. We got all the other new uniforms, from all the other teams to look for as well.

Our new lineup for the year is listed below, some new faces and most of the old gang are back.
Annette Beutler SUI
Loes Gunnewijk NED
Britt Jochems NED

Pick of Pics 2006
Just to finish the year off, I decided to choose some of the best shots of the season. Chosen in no particular order, and covering most of the races of the year, it was a tough decision. But I managed to narrow over 5000 images down to about 50.
So here are my favourites, ready for you to enjoy. This will be the finish to this particular photo page. Think I have figured out how to start another one up, without destroying this one in the process, but time will tell.
Also new for 2007 I am trying to upgrade the look of this blog, but if it's missing for a few days don't worry, it will be somewhere in cyberspace, just hope that I can find it again. But I already had one go at changing the look, and it didn't quite go as planned, so hopefully the next version will work.
