Flaming Snow...

Got ya.....

Seems to me that I must be the only one here excited by the idea of more snow falling. Think by this time at the end of winter, most of the locals have had enough of it. Hey, I am getting right into the spirit of winter, every morning is like Christmas when I look out the window, will or won't it be snowing... Sometimes there is a huge fall and the streets look wicked, leaving town through the little forest it looks fantastic, all the trees looking spectacular, covered in snow.
Driving on the stuff is something altogether a great way to start the day, am I going to slide off the road or am I not. Most of the dodgy corners are pretty easy to pick as there is always car tracks heading offroad at the craziest angles. You really have to watch your speed on most of the roads as there is no shortage of big trees very close to the road, I'm sure they would hurt the car a little.
The bike paths get swept first early in the morning, as I have been trying to get a good pic of a tire tracks at a crossroad in the snow, but they keep beating me to it. Leaving here early on Sunday for our first race (well kind of, story coming up next) I must have been the first person to leave my street and leave town as I had a free run on the first tracks on the road. I did get some nice patterns drawn, must have put a smile on someone else's face that morning as well as mine. As for everyone else, it's the same old story with the conversations regarding the weather, the good old line from last year comes out always, 'it's not normal for Holland this time of year'. Well sorry, it does not work any more, I know your weather is bad, face up to it, I certainly have..

More Flaming snow.....
